landmark

hiiitoday's topic is a chilean landmark, so i'm going to talk about my experience climbing the osorno volcano.

well, the osorno volcano is located in the andes mountain range, it is the most recognizable visual icon within the lakes region, it is considered the gateway to the chilean patagonia. it is close to the city of osorno and that's why it has that name.

i actually visited it many years ago, i think around 2012-13 on a vacation i had with my family in which we toured the entire southern part of chile.

the experience was traumatic but the view i had was the best thing in life, i mean, it's not every day you climb a volcano, because that's what we did.

people can really climb the volcano, for this you have schedules, but it is a somewhat complicated road and well, we had the bad luck that the car had bad brakes and we could not go back down to go to the house.

the ascent was really pure adrenaline, since the roads are only curves so that there are no problems going up. without a doubt the chaotic climb is worth it when you get to the lookout point on top of the volcano and you can see the snow up close (even going up) and you also get a full view of lake llanquihue.

i think i will never forget that sunset, the sun was reflecting on the lake while the sky was looking more and more orange, it was just perfect.

i think it is one of the most dangerous volcanos in chile, but it is extremely beautiful the amount of viewpoints and landscapes that are found in it.
